State Route 237 and Interstate 880 interchange
The SR 237 freeway ends at I-880, where most eastbound traffic heads onto northbound I-880. Its eastbound express lane connects to the northbound I-880 express lane. Past the interchange, the route becomes Calaveras Boulevard. The Calaveras on-ramp near McCarthy Boulevard has a ramp meter.
Dixon Landing Road railroad crossing
Just east of I-880, a Union Pacific freight track crosses Dixon Landing Road at street level. The crossing has four gate arms and Do Not Stop on Tracks signs. Traffic signals sit nearby, so check for room past the tracks before you cross.
Tasman Drive at Alder station
Alder station is a street-level Orange Line light rail stop near Tasman Drive and Alder Drive, west of the I-880 interchange. Farther east, Tasman becomes Great Mall Parkway, and the line reaches an elevated station over the Main Street intersection.
Montague Expressway at East Capitol Avenue
Montague Expressway has carpool lanes for two or more people west of Milpitas Boulevard. They apply westbound 6 to 9 a.m. and eastbound 3 to 7 p.m. on weekdays. Near East Capitol Avenue, a footbridge carries walkers over the expressway to the transit center.
